Route 66

42 X 69 Inches

Transportation has long been an important part of human existence. He who invented the wheel was a genius, for not only did those wheels become a necessity of life, but also a means of learning about the world. They helped man map out continents, make history with great geographical discoveries, master the American prairies, and tame wild expanses of Asia and Africa.

Key concept
We live through our senses, and flying, or the desire to be airborne, and the sensation of high-velocity in our life is a powerful stimulus. Anyone who has experienced a “flight of fancy” knows it feels like “taking off” or “sprouting wings from my back.” The dragonfly, steering a motorbike and glowing as to become one with the bike, is a metaphor for one flying through the vastness of the surrounding space, thus breaking the bonds of the mundane.
