Fiery Dance
OIL ON CANVAS. ORIGINAL SIZE 19x15 in

  • In ancient times, people worshipped the sun as a deity.
  • Surely, the sun gives warmth and life both to people and flowers.
  • By night, the ancients would perform dances around a bonfire.
  • In these dances, they imagined themselves to be small planets moving – whirling, spinning, revolving – around the great sun.

By night, when darkness falls all around and everyone is asleep, the flowers perform a merry dance together. Hand in hand, they can set off in a reel. And since the bonfire is red, both the people and the flowers array themselves in red garments.
